Description:
This HSE approved first aid training course is designed for individuals who have previously attended an HSE approved 4 Day initial first aid course and their certificate is due to expire but is still in date. It provides participants with the theoretical and practical knowledge when dealing with first aid in the work place that may have changed since the last time they attended their first aid training course.

This 2 day refresher course with give participants a qualification to the highest level of first aid, meeting the statutory requirements of 'Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981'.

All participants will enjoy this relaxed and fun approach to learning, led by an experienced instructor who fully understands individual learning needs. 

All participants who attend this first aid course will be provided with a first aid training pack and first aid manual, which will assist their understanding of the course content. This course can be tailored to meet your business needs and can be delivered on site at no extra cost.

Duration:
A minimum of 12 hours spread over at least 2 days. Ideally, the course should be run over 2 consecutive days, but Outlook have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire.

Syllabus:
A wide range of subjects is covered including:

Legalities Responsibilities and reporting Assessment of the situation Dealing with an unconscious casualty Resuscitation Heart Attacks Choking Poisoning Control of bleeding

Bandaging Fractures Burns Head injuries Eye injuries Sprains Strains Shock

Certification:
Subject to assessment, all participants will be issued a First Aid at Work certificate approved by the Health and Safety Executive for a further 3 years.

Numbers:
A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and each participant must have a valid First Aid at Work qualification that has not lapsed.

This Health & Safety Emergency first aid at work course is designed for individuals who have no prior understanding of first aid.

It provides participants with the theoretical and
practical knowledge when dealing with first aid emergencies in the work place.

All participants will enjoy this relaxed approach to learning, led by an experienced instructors who fully understands individual learning needs. This first aid course will give delegates the confidence to deal with first aid emergencies.

All participants who attend this first aid course will be provided with a first aid manual, which will assist their understanding of the course content. This course can be tailored to meet your business needs and can be delivered on site at no extra cost.

Duration:
A 6-hour course consisting of theory and practical work.

Syllabus:
A wide range of subjects is covered including:

Responsibilities and Reporting Assessment of the situation Dealing with an unconscious casualty Resuscitation Choking Poisoning

Control of bleeding Fractures Burns Head injuries Sprains Heart Attacks

In addition to the core subjects as listed above, an additional 1 hour is available to cover specific areas that are appropriate to your organisation.

Certification:
Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual ongoing throughout the course. This qualification is valid for 3 years.

Numbers:
A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and each participant must be aged a minimum of 16 years or above.
