RYA First Aid.

This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for skippers and crew within 60 miles of a safe haven. The course itself covers minor ailments, including headaches, sunburn and small lesions, through to immediate response to serious medical emergencies, in situations that someone on the water could encounter. There is emphasis on resuscitation techniques and the “primary care” of a man overboard victim. Procedures for obtaining outside medical assistance and the helicopter rescue services are covered, as well as the correct first aid kit to have on board. This course is a must for all who sail and powerboat on a regular basis.

If you are a RYA RTC and you need a first aid instructor to run your courses please contact us for more details.
